ENGLAND BEAT SWEDEN 2-0 TO ADVANCE IN RUSSIA 2018

RUSSIA – The English team today defeated Sweden 2-0 at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia to move into the semi final stage in the soccer fiesta.

The game tagged by football lovers as unimpressive saw England dictating the pace during the encounter, with only one goal coming in the first half. Harry Maguire took England into the lead in the 30th minutes when he connected a ball from Ashley Young.

Sweden tried to equalize but it was to no avail and scores remained at 1-0 at half time.

Sweden came in with a lot of vigor in the second half but it seems luck was not on their side. It was England that had the best of time in the game with Dele Ali giving his fans opportunity to cheer when he connected a ball from Jesse Lingard to consolidate on the 1-0 lead to make it 2-0 when he found the net in the 59th minutes.

England succeded in holding on until the game ended. England had major control of the game with 57 percent ball possession as against 43 by Sweden.
Sweden had 3 shots on target while England had just two shots showing the defensive play between these two teams.
