ENGLAND, United Kingdom – The Super Eagles of Nigeria today lost 2-1 to England in an international friendly at Wembly. It was a well publicised match that saw the Super Eagles bring in their best in the encounter but it ended up with England carrying the day.

The first goal of the game came in the 7th minutes through Gary Cahill and almost made it a double in the 14th minutes. Hary Kane made it 2-0 before half time for the 3 Lions. The Super Eagles scored their only goal in the match after half time. But the technical crew had to replace the likes of Balogun, Shehu, Joel Obi and Onazi for Omeruo, Ebuehi, Ogu and Etebo before kick-off time for the second half.

Iwobi’s only goal for the Eagles came in the 47 minutes, few minutes into the second half. Even the substitution of Ahmed Musa with Victor Moses could not make the needed impact as the game ended 2-1 in favour of the 3 Lions of England.
