ABUJA, Nigeria – The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has suspended a chieftain of the party, Senator Buruji Kashamu. His suspension was announced on the tweeter handle of the party.
He was suspended ahead of the national convention of the party holding today at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
The party did not give any reason for the suspension even as there are insinuation that it could be connected to his recent utterance calling on members not to vote for anybody with a pending corruption case in the court.
“The National Caretaker Committee (NCC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Senator Buruji Kashamu for a period of one month. Details later”, the party said.
