RUSSIA – The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday beat Argentina 4 -2 in the in the FIFA graded friendly between Nigeria and Argentina in far away Russia.




The Eagles put up a superb performance, coming from a 2 – 0 deficit to beat Argentina who played the match without their marksman, Lionel Messi.

Argentina shot into the lead in the 28th minutes through Ever Banega, while Sergio Aguero made it 2 -0 in the 37th minutes.

Nigeria returned to the game through a goal by Kelechi in the 44th minutes via a free kick. The game ended 2 -1 in favour of Argentina at first half.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria scored the three other goals in the second half through Alex Iwobi in the 49th minutes, Idowu Bryan in the 53rd minutes and Alex Iwobi in the 81st minutes to wrap up the game 4 -2 in favour of the Super Eagles.
