LAGOS, Nigeria – Former Editor of Daily Independent Newspapers, Mr. Rotimi Durojaiye has announced the death of his mother Bernice Yoriola Ashade.
She was 95. Rotimi Durojaiye who is now a Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor announced the development on his Facebook wall.
According to him, the Yoriola Ashade died early today peacefully in her sleep.
“It is with heavy hearts, but with gratitude to God Almighty, for a life well spent, that I announce the passing away to glory of our Mother, Grandmother, Stepmother, Sister, Aunt and Niece, Mrs. Bernice Yoriola Ashade. She died peacefully in her sleep early today, Friday, November 10, 2017, at the age of 95 years.
“She is survived by children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other numerous relatives. May her kind soul rest in everlasting peace”, Rotimi Durojaiye said in the statement.
