LAFIA HOSTS NATIONAL FOOTBALL RETREAT
ABUJA, Nigeria – The city of Lafia, capital of Nasarawa State will experience something different on Monday and Tuesday as Chairmen of all the Football Associations of the 36 States and the Federal Capital City gather in the serene town for a national football retreat programme.
Chairman of Chairmen of Nigerian Football, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau told thenff.com on Friday that all arrangements have been concluded for a hitch –free event in the city, with Ta’al Conference Hotel earmarked for the programme.
Football –loving Nasarawa State Governor Umar Tanko Al-Makura will declare the retreat open, while NFF President Amaju Pinnick will also address the esteemed gathering before the commencement of the business of the day.
General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi will moderate the technical session, at which NFF 2nd Vice President/LMC chairman Shehu Dikko, Dr. Saba Idris and ex –Nigerian international Nasiru Jibril will speak on various issues.
Dikko, who is also Chairman of the NFF Marketing, Sponsorship and Television Advisory Committee, will speak on Football Marketing, Branding and Sponsorship: Challenges and Way Forward while Idris will talk on General Match Organization and Management: Key Issues and Jibril will shed light on Players’ Transfer: The Role of Stakeholders.
