OLUSOLA SOKUNLE: AMBODE IS MAKING LAGOS HEALTHY FOR BETTER LIVING
OSHODI, Nigeria – As the Lagos State government carried out Tree planting exercise across the local governments in the state for a healthy environment, the lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olusola Sokunle, has commended the Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, for his tremendous performance in all sectors most especially in the area of ensuring the citizens enjoy healthy and clean environment.
In a statement issued by his Media Assistant, Mr Okunade Adekunle, today, in Oshodi, Lagos, Sokunle explained that the environmental cleaning template which the governor is executing remains the best in the country, explaining further that the citizens should continue to collaborate with the state government by abiding with state laws and policies which are made for the betterment of the citizens.
“With all the Ministry of the Environment is doing, it is an indication that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode mean well for Lagosians. The last Tree planting exercise was a testimony to the goodness of Governor Ambode in the area of ensuring healthy environment for all of us”, said Hon. Sokunle.
He added that the House of Assembly Committee on Environment would continue to support the effort of the ministry and its Commissioner, Hon. Babatunde Adejare, in the necessary ways that would enhance easy implementation of Gov. Ambode environmental policies.
“I am a member of the House Committee on Environment, I can tell you that Governor Ambode has robust policies that would continue to make our environment conducive and healthy for better living and business. We, in the House of Assembly will continue to give his team supports that are needed to deliver the dividends of democracy to Lagosians”, said Hon. Sokunle.
The lawmaker however, called on the federal Ministry of Environment to emulate the implementation strategies of Lagos State government in the area of climate change.
” I urge the Federal Ministry of Environment to emulate Lagos Ministry of Environment in the way climate change is addressed”, said Hon Sokunle
