BELLO STORMS JOS FOR PLATEAU JOURNALISTS, SPEAKS ON CIVIL SERVICE REFORMS
LOKOJA, Nigeria – Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello will on Monday July 31 storm Jos, Plateau State Capital, to deliver a lecture during the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected executive of the Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
The new executive of the Chapel comprises Yusufu Idegu (The Nation, Chairman); Josiah Buzun (Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Vice Chairman); Peter Amine (News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Secretary) and John Farinola (Channels TV, Assistant Secretary.)
Others are Andrew Ajijah (PREMIUM TIMES, Treasurer); Gyang Bere (The Sun, Financial Secretary) and Pam Musa, Daily Telegraph (Auditor).
A statement issued by Idegu in Jos on Wednesday said Bello, who will serve as the Guest Speaker at the inauguration ceremony will speak on the theme: “Nigerian civil service reform and the challenge of a new Nigeria.”
The event would be chaired by a former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Dame Pauline Tallen while the executive governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
The inauguration ceremony would be used to raise funds for the purchase of 32-Seater Buses for members of the Correspondent’s Chapel of NUJ, Plateau state council.
