UMUAHIA, Abia, Nigeria – Ahead of the Supreme Court judgment on the governorship tussle in Abia state between Dr. Uche Ogah and Dr. Okozie Ikpeazu on 12 May 2017, Ogah’s kinsmen in Lagos held a fasting and praying session appealing for God’s intervention on the side of Ogah and Abians.
The fasting and praying session which was jointly organised by Uturu Development Association (UDA) Lagos branch and Uturu Believers Followship (UBF), Lagos branch was beehives of activities and it attracted men and women from all walks of life.
The praying session held at the World Lovers Assembly, Orile Lagos on 1st May witnessed great crowed, mainly Uturians, Abians from across the state and their friends who attended enemas seeking for God’s intervention in the Supreme Court judgment billed to be delivered on 12 May 2017.
The groups during the prayer session prayed for God’s favour on the side of Dr. Uche Ogah in the final judgment, as that will lead to total liberation of Abians from the shackle of political bondage and brigands over the years.
They also prayed for God’s protection for Uche Ogah, especially this time when a lot of intrigues and manipulations are going on into operation to alter God’s will in the Abia State.
They also asked God to save Ogah’s life, no matter enemy does to manipulate.
The group also thanked God for the raising the person of Uche Ogah and like minds in Abia state ,as Ogah becoming governor of state would leapfrogged the state into greater height, hence the true name of the state ‘God’s own state’.
The group further prayed against any kind of saboteur in the writing and delivering of the judgment as any negative influence would means continual subjugation of the Abians to cable, milking state for years and thereby making rubbish of the ‘God’s own state’ .
Speaking during the prayers session, the chairman of UDA, Lagos Mr. Kenneth Nwaro said that there is nothing God cannot do and the day’s praying and fasting were confirmation of the God’s loved for the state and people of Uturu.
According to him, God has decreed positive change in Abia state and it will come to pass on Friday May 12 2017, when by the intervention of God and good will of the people of Abia state, the supreme court judgment will favour Uche Ogah and Abians .
He said that nobody can change what God has ordained and by the God’s grace by 12 May, 2017 Abians will rejoice and move away from endless suffering occasioned by the bad leaderships in the state.
According to him, God has answered Abians and nobody can change anything God has destined in one’s life and state, saying that God has ordained positive change in the state and it will come to pass on May 12 2017,whether enemy like it or not.
Also speaking, the chairman of UBF, elder Alloy Nwankwo thanked members for having faith and belief that God will change anything that is not of Him for good.
He said, as Abians had prayed so hard and the next thing remaining is thanking giving service to God after May 12, for He had answered the prayers of His people. According to him, God has ordained Uche Ogah to be the governor of Abia state and nothing any enemy will do to change God’s promise in the life of Abia state and Dr.Ogah.
“We did not know when God ordained Uche Ogah to be governor and also we did not know when He started His work in his life ,we can only pray so hard that enemy will not change the will of God in him and that of the state ”he said.
He said Ogah has been positive light in Abia state and God will be with him and good people of Abia state for this dream to come to fruition in our state christen ‘God’s own state’.
Speaking also ,Mr. Hillary chimezie who represented Uche Ogah campaign organization at the prayer , thanked the Uturian and Abians for showing love to Ogah and Abia state ,saying that the prayer was an indication that God is with the people and there will be victory for the people comes May 12,2017.
According to him, any person who knows Uche Ogah will always pray hard for him to become the governor because if he emerges as the governor of the state, Abians will rejoice and experience goodness unprecedented in governance in the state.
“God will not allow evil men and women in state and anywhere to step in and cause problems in the Supreme Court judgment comes May 12.
“I want everybody and every Abains to pray hard for Uche Ogah to be governor so that Abia will be totally liberated from bondage .Our prayers is not for Uche Ogah and Uturu people alone but for the entire Abians who had longed for good government and they will get the best if Ogah is returned as the governor of the state come May12”he said
