WESTMINSTER, London – Police have arrested and bailed two youths found climbing over barriers to the grounds of the Palace of Westminster on the afternoon of Saturday, 1 April.





The boys, both 15-years-old, according to police climbed over a low barrier into the car park at the southern end of the Palace.

“They then crossed back over into the public area when a police officer approached them. The trespass lasted approximately 30 seconds.

“The boys attempted to run away but were pursued and detained by police. They were arrested on suspicion of trespassing on a protected site, contrary to section 128 of the Serious Organised Crime Act 2005, shortly before 14.30hrs”, the police said.

The police asded that they did not gain access to any building.

“Both youths were taken into custody at a central London police station. On 2 April they were bailed, pending further enquiries, to return to a central London police station on a date in early May”, thempoloce said.
