SUSPECTED ISIL SUPPORTER KILLS 4 ISRAELI SOLDIERS IN JERUSALEM
JERUSALEM – A Palestanian suspected to be a suporter of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIL has killed four soldiers in Jerusalem.
The four soldiers according to police were cadet officers, three women and one man, all in their twenties, police have said, adding that 13 other people were injured in the attack.
The attacker drove his lorry on top speed over the soldiers, reversed on them to ensure that they were dead and attempted to run over a group of people before he was killled by soldiers.
Israel’s police chief Roni Alsheich said the attacker, who has been identified by police, was a Palestinian from East Jerusalem.
Speaking on the incident, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attacker was a suspected supporter of the so-called Islamic State.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his condolence to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well as families of the victims and wished the injured quick recovery.
