GET CHEAPEST HOUSE IN THE UK FOR AS LOW AS £400
ENGLAND, United Kingdom – The Land Registry in the United Kingdom today published details of property sold in the United Kingdom between December 2016 and January 30, 2017.
According to the statistics released, the most expensive residential sale in December 2016 was of a terraced property in the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for £16,200,000.
“The cheapest residential sale in December 2016 was of a terraced property in Peterlee, County Durham for £14,000”, the statement said.
It added that the most expensive commercial sale in December 2016 was in the London Borough of Camden for £96,350,000 and that the cheapest commercial sale in December 2016 was in Minehead, West Somerset for £400.
From the records, over 87,600 residential and commercial land and property sales in England and Wales lodged for registration in December 2016.
Of the 87,678 sales lodged for registration, 64,924 were freehold, 8,051 were newly built, 31,955 sales took place in December 2016, 610 were residential sales in December 2016 in England and Wales for £1 million and over 365 were residential sales in December 2016 in London for £1 million and over.
Number of sales lodged for registration by property type for December are as follows, Detached 19,758, Semi-detached 22,349, Terraced 23,112, Flat/maisonette 16,526, others are 5,932 bringing the total to 87,678
