ABUJA, Nigeria – The caucus of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the Senate has removed Senator Ali Ndume as Senate Majority Leader.
The caucus also replaced him with Senator Ahmed Lawan.
President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki made the annoucement on the floor of tthe Senate at the end of plenary on Tuesday.
“The APC caucus has written to me announcing the change of leadership of the caucus. They have named Ahmed Lawan as the leader”, Saraki said.
No reason was giving for the removal of Ndume as majority leader. Ali Ndume represent APC, Borno. He has occupied that since the beginning of this dispensation.
