WASHINGTON – President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump has condoled with the families of Russian Ambassador, Andrei Karlov who was assassinated in Turkey.

In a statement on the incident, he said “today we offer our condolence to the family and loved ones of Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrea Karlov, who was assassinated by a radical Islamic terrorist.

“The murder of an ambassador is a violation of all rules of civilized order and must be universally condemned”, he said.




Adrei Karlov was assassinated by an off duty police officer inside a gallery before he could deliver his speech. The attacker was seen in a video shouting Allahu Akbar, and saying don’t forget Alepo after killing the ambassador.

So far, Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has condemned the incident while the attacker identified as 22 year old Mevlut Mert Altintas was killed by Turkey security forces.
