LASU SACKS DON AS DOSUMU OLOLADE WINS BEST COMPUTER STUDENT WITH ALLTEST SOFTWARE
LAGOS, Nigeria – The Lagos State University, LASU has sacked Dr. Rufai, Raji Odutayo. The decision to sack him was arrived at during the meeting of the Governing Council of the university.
He was sacked on allegation of abscondment from duty post and failure to serve the period of bond in the University.
The university announced the sack just as a Final Year Student in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science, Dosumu Ololade, has emerged the overall winner of the Best B.Sc Computer Science Students’ Projects, in Lagos State Tertiary Institutions for the Year 2016, with the software, Alltest
The Project of the Current Winner is based on “subjective web based examination” and was supervised by Dr. Toyin Enikuomehin.
In the letter to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. ‘Lanre Fagbohun, the Head, Computer Science Department, Prof. Benjamin Aribisala says “…The software name [alltest] can help users conduct subjective examination online as well as the usual objective web based examination, with a pioneering feature of using web based thesaurus API for Semantic matching”.
The 2016 winner, Dosumu Ololade was presented with his prize at a colourful Annual Conference of the Nigerian Computer Society [NCS] held on Thursday, 17th November, 2016, at the Lagos State Digital Village, Ikeja.
Lagos State University has won the Distinguished Award in Computer Science for a record of two [2] consecutive times.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. ‘Lanre Fagbohun has congratulated the Department of Computer Science of the Lagos State University, the Award winner; Dosumu Ololade, Head of the Department, Prof. Benjamin Aribisala and the Project Supervisor, Dr. Toyin Enikuomehin, for this academic success.
