ISLEWORTH
, London – Glyn Davies, 71 of Fir Tree Close, Bridgwater, Somerset was sentenced on Tuesday, 20 December at Isleworth Crown Court to nine years in prison.

Detectives from the Met’s Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Command launched an investigation after they were contacted by two men who said that they had been assaulted by a private drama teacher in the 1980s.

Despite having used aliases, detectives identified Davies as having used the name Glen Knowles to run The Glen Knowles Drama Schools and Clubs in the Coulsdon and Hampton Hill areas. Davies was also known to have run drama schools in the Kent area and may have run other clubs in the South London area.

He was arrested on 10 February 2016 and charged on 29 September with two multiple counts of indecent assault on a boy under 14.

Davies was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.

Detective Constable Helen Lawson, who led the investigation, said: “Davies abused a position of trust and due to the large amount of children who attended his classes there are concerns that there may be other victims who are yet to come forward.

“Davies also used the surnames Knowles, Krauss and Krauss-Davies during the 1980s. I would urge anyone who is yet to speak with police to contact us.”
