Papua New Guinea – Japan’s Young Nadeshiko hammered reigning world vice champions Nigeria 6-0 in Group B’s second match at the 8th FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea on Sunday.

Mami Ueno bagged a hat –trick in the encounter while Yuka Momiki scored twice as the 2010 and 2014 silver medallists fell apart at Bava Park in Moresby.

Ueno started with a header in the 32nd minute before Momiki added a second goal three minutes. The first half ended 2-0 in favour of the Asians. In the second half, Momiki took Japan to 3-0 after 51 minutes, and on 56th minute, defender Mary Ologbosere slotted into her own net for Japan’s fourth.

The Japanese girls were not done yet as Ueno scored a fifth before her marvelous sixth, as she waltzed through the Nigerian defence before smashing home.
