LAGOS – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) this morning arraigned a Federal High Court Judge, Justice Rita Ngozi Ofili Ajumogobia and Godwin Obla, SAN on 30 count charge, bothering on graft, unlawful enrichment, providing false information to EFCC and forgery.
She was arraigned for a combined sum of N351,382,005 found in her bank accounts at Access Bank and Diamond Bank PLC, which source she cannot explain.
According to EFCC, the sum of $ 894, 400 and N56, 230, 005 were found in the two bank accounts.
She was arraigned before Justice Oshodi of a Lagos State High Court. At the hearing today the court was filled beyond capacity, forcing the orderly of Justice Oshodi to order people around.
It was at this junction that Godwin Obla, SAN and Ajumogobia came in like super stars, greeting and acknowledging cheers from colleagues and friends.
