Tobi Animashaun, murdered by anonymous gang in London




London, Sept., 17, 2016 – Metropolitan Police today arrested two young men aged 22 and 23 in Charlton in connection with the murder of Tobi Animashaun.

Tobi Animashaun(25) was stabbed on Sunday, September 11 at Anchor and Hope Lane, SE7 and was attended to by London Ambulance Services before he was rushed to a South London Hospital but died on Monday, September 12, 2016.

The two men arrested are now in custody of a South London police station. Detective Chief Inspector Graeme Gwyn from the Homicide and Major Crime Command said Tobi was attacked by a group of males as he left work on Sunday evening.

A post-mortem examination of Tobi Animashaun’s body on Tuesday, 13 September, at Greenwich Mortuary identified the cause of the death as incised wounds to chest and abdomen.

“We are keeping an open mind as to motive but he was attacked just as he exited the security gate. We are keen to speak with anyone with information and ask they contact us as a matter of urgency,” the Metropolitan Police has said.

In a statement, family of Tobi Animashaun described Tobi as a son, big brother, cousin and friend.


“He had a heart of gold and was protective of everyone in his family; especially the girls. It truly saddens us that we have lost Tobi, but his spirit will live on in our hearts. We do hope the people who are responsible for this are brought to justice,” the family said.
