Nigeria, Sept., 05, 2016 – Six exceptional Nigerians were presented with the 2Face Foundation Peace Award at the Buckwyld and Breathless show on Saturday, September 3rd at Eko Hotel in Lagos.
SIX NIGERIANS WIN 2FACE IDIBIA PEACE AWARDS
The presentation was made by entertainment pioneer Mr. Kenny Ogungbe. The award is a project of the 2face Foundation started by Nigerian award winning music superstar, “2Face” Innocent Idibia.
The 2Face Peace Award celebrates and supports Nigerians who contribute to peace in their community or sphere of influence. From its inauguration in 2013 the foundation has presented 12 awards so far.
The 2016 2Face Peace awards are dedicated to the IDP (Internally Displaced Person). Recent conflict and violence in the North East and Middle Belt of Nigeria have left millions homeless or in vulnerable states as their communities face a combination of insecurity and influx of displaced persons.
Our 2016 awardees have shown exemplary commitment to working with IDP’s and host communities in the areas of rebuilding, reconciliation, emergency relief, counseling, health, telling the story from “the ground” and in other ways difficult to label or measure.
