Lagos, Nigeria, August 10, 2016 – An Alumnus of Lagos State University, Victoria Taiwo-Wusu has won the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrations of Nigeria (ICSAN)’s Award for the Best student, in Corporate Governance for the December 2015 Diet.
Taiwo-Wusu, a quintessential professional, graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University in 2009 and immediately proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Bwari Abuja, to obtain her Barrister at Law (BL) in 2006, after which she worked in various sections of the Nigerian economy from Banking to Oil and Gas and Media /Entertainment.

In a mail to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. ‘Lanre Fagbohun, Taiwo-Wusu extolled the Lagos State University as having “equipped and prepared me for the achievements.”
She wrote further thus :”….this (the award) is attributable to the cadre of top notch lecturers that taught me and the rigours of academic research and excellence imbibed in us, whilst not forgetting the quest to make the Faculty Law and the University possess a great brand and ensure it is indeed ‘primus inter pares’. These calibre of lecturers I was privileged to have been schooled by, also impacted in me the drive, zeal and passion to be the best in whatever I do, always striving for excellence.”
She thanked the Vice Chancellor immensely for the advice and encouragement given to her to undertake the professional course of study and wished him the best in restoring the glory of the university.
