Nigeria, August 3, 2016 – Angry women dressed half naked have protested against continued attack on their communities by armed Fulani herdsmen in Kaduna State.
HALF NAKED WOMEN PROTEST ATTACK BY FULANI HERDSMEN IN KADUNA
The women who armed themselves within placards with inscriptions such as ‘’President Buhari, we want to hear you speak on the menace of Fulani herdsmen and the grazing bill will kill our country”, were angry about the onslaught of the herdsmen on Ninte village in Godogodo Chiefdom, Jema’a Local Government, Kaduna State.
The women who are from Ninte and surrounding villages staged the protest to the palace of the Chief of Godogodo.
The women alleged that the herdsmen kill, rape and burn houses and called on the Federal Government to halt the menace of the herdsmen.
Activities of the armed Fulani herdsmen have become a source of worry in recent time.
They have associated with abduction of former Presidential aspirant, Chief Olu Falai and killing of many in the South West, forcing Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose to ban them from his state.
On his part, Delta State Governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa said only unarmed Fulani herdsmen will be allowed to graze in the state.
