Abuja, Aug. 30, 2016 – The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Baru on Tuesday assured of the Corporation’s readiness to consider communities within the Federal Capital Territory in siting Corporate Social Responsibility projects in the nearest future.
BARU ASSURES FCT CHIEFS OF CSR SUPPORT
Speaking while receiving a delegation of FCT Council of Chiefs led by its Chairman, HRM Adamu Baba Yinusa who also doubles as the Ona of Abaji, the NNPC GMD noted that as host of the corporate headquarters of the Corporation, the FCT deserves prime consideration in the location of CSR projects and initiatives.
On the request by the Chairman of the Council of Chiefs for the construction of additional product depot in Abaji to ease the gridlock in Suleja depot and the need to intensify pipeline surveillance activities, Baru explained that the NNPC is open to suggestions and inputs from stakeholders, noting that the Corporation would work within the limit of available resources to execute its mandate.
The Monarch thanked the GMD for the audience accorded his delegation while promising to work closely with the Corporation to ensure smooth host community relationship.
