EMERUWA IN ACCRA FOR FIFA COURSE

Abuja, June 7, 2016 – NFF’s Integrity Officer and National Security Officer, Dr. Christian Emeruwa has arrived  Accra, Ghana for a three –day FIFA EWS Match Manipulation Prevention ‘Train the Trainer’ course.

In the letter inviting Emeruwa to the course, football’s world ruling body, FIFA wrote: “As the level of awareness of the threat to the integrity of football from match manipulation grows, it is increasingly important that all members of the football family are fully aware of the risks of engaging in match manipulation and can protect themselves and football by recognizing, resisting and reporting any approaches to fix a match.

“In line with FIFA’s resolve to tackle this scourge, we cordially invite Dr. Christian Emeruwa from the NFF as a nominee to attend a training course for trainers in the area of match manipulation prevention. This ‘Train the Trainer’ course is a key component of the FIFA integrity initiative to tackle match manipulation.”

Participants are expected to, at the end of the course taking place at the Accra City Hotel, be equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver match manipulation prevention training for their respective member associations for the Train the Trainer course
