The Ataturk Havalimani International Airport attacked by terrorists on Tuesday




Istanbul, June 29, 2016 – Not less than 32 people have been confirmed dead at scores injured when terrorists gained access into Ataturk International Airport, Istanbul, reputed to be one of the most secure airports in the world and detonated explosives.

We gathered that three attackers were involved in the attack that left many dead. Reports say one of the attackers entered the airport with AK 47 rifle and shot sporadically killing and injuring many within reach, leading to stampede and wailing.

Local reports suggest that at least 49 ambulances have been stationed at the airport to take care of travelers who have been injured in the attack.

Minister of Justice, Bekir Bozdag told reporters that one terrorist “first opened fire with a Kalashnikov then detonated himself”, he said adding that three bombs exploded in the airport.

But Istanbul Gov. Vasip Sahin said early Wednesday. Three bombers were also killed at the airport.Officials say police fired shots at suspects near the international terminal in an effort to neutralize them. So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

speaking on the attack, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, said government is still collecting information and trying to ascertain what happened and who did it.”
