Nigeria, May 27, 2016 – The Niger Delta Avengers have threatened that the group is about to carryout an operation that would shock the world. The group announced the operation on its social media handle few minutes after it announced that it has blown up an NNPC gas and crude trunkline close to Warri.
The group said the operation was carried out in the wee hours of the night at 11:45PM
In the statement, the group described its strike force as very formidable adding that the boys struck even in a pipeline that is heavily guarded by the military.
The group also described the stakeholder meeting held by the Minister of State for Petroleum and Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu with stakeholders of the Niger Delta region in Abuja as nothing but an insult on the region.
According to the group, what the avengers want is nothing but a Sovereign State, not pipeline contract.
