Isokriari who also is the Chief Executive of Idea Travel Agency said if he has employed 10 staff today and there is room to develop tourism in the country, he will employ 100 and reduce the unemployment rate in the country.
According to him,’’ this will remove most people from the streets and engage them meaningfully for the benefit of the country, their families and themselves. Restiveness and militancy will end because the youths will be engaged and kept busy’’.
‘’I took some Japanese to my village Buguma in Asari Toru Local Government Area in Rivers State and from Buguma, I took them down to Cartel Channel an oil flow station, my security men were the boys, not police and at the end of the day I paid them in dollars because they paid me in dollars. And the boys were happy and asked me to come back and that they are ready to protect us. If we use them meaningfully, they will be calm and will be happy to live a good life’’, he said
The Tour Operator explained that outside Nigerian shore, tour guides speak good English which mean they can be trained and have good school education, adding that the implication of the Dubai workshop would benefit travel agents more and Dubai tourism in particular.
He explained that the Travel Agencies will benefit more by making more money but the buck of the benefit would be for the Dubai Tourism board and stakeholders in Dubai who have come to showcase their products and inspire Nigerians.
