LASU SUSPENDS STUDENT FOR VIOLENT CULT ACTIVITIES

Nigeria, May 27, 2016 – Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University, Prof. Lanre Fagbohun has directed immediate suspension of Macauley, Mefoyon Oluwabunmi, a student of the Department of Banking and Finance for violent cult activities.

Oluwabunmi was registered with matriculation number: 100812059.

The suspension letter read “your involvement in a conduct likely to cause a breach of peace on campus and suspected cult related activities of which you and your group abducted a co-student from his hostel for initiation at a place around Ajah, where he was initiated along with other students”.

“The suspension is pending his arraignment before the Students’ Disciplinary Committee of the University’’, the statement said.

It added that Macauley M. Oluwabunmi is therefore not to participate in any socio-academic activity the university until his suspension is lifted.
