LASU students to march against indecent dressing, cultism
Speaking on proper dressing, President, Lagos State University Student Union (LASUSU), Mr. Wasiu Sulaimon called on students to dress up properly in a manner expected of responsible undergraduates.
“Remember you shall be addressed the way you are dressed, and it is the way you are dressed that would make people see you as either a good ambassador of the University or otherwise.
“You will agree with me that as an ambassador, whatever people, make of your conduct will rob off on the University whether positively or negatively. This will in turn rob off on how your certificate is viewed when you eventually graduate’’, he said.
He told the students to attend lectures regularly, adding that it is part of the University regulations that ‘’you will only be allowed to sit for an examination if you meet up with 75% (percent) of the attendance of lecture for that course.
He urged the students to stay away from all self destructive acts, like gangsterism, engaging in fisticuffs on the campus, and above all cultism.
“Shun cultism and report anybody that is trying to lure you to join any cult group to the Security Unit. Do not join any cult group. Shun it, in its entirety, for it has no good to offer you, asides total destruction and expulsion from the University. What is worse is that it can lead to your untimely death”, he warned.
