Spokesman of the Police in Netherland, Mr. Denis Janus said the eagle seems to be the solution to insecurity posed by hitech in recent times.

“It’s a low-tech solution to a high-tech problem… People sometimes think it’s a hoax, but it’s proving very effective so far,” he said, adding that amateur use of drones has boomed and police is worried by proliferation in unlicensed drones flying into off-limit spaces around airports or above public events.

Besides use of eagles, the Dutch police is also considering shooting nets at the offending drones, to bring them under control.
