Abuja, Nigeria, February 9, 2016 – The Nigeria Football Federation has concluded plans to hold a three –day seminar for match commissioners in the country, ahead of the kick –off of the new football season.
NFF HOLDS THREE DAY SEMINAR FOR MATCH COMMISSIONERS
Already, the League Management Company has announced that the Nigeria Professional Football League season will kick off on Sunday, 21st February, while the Nigeria National League has set Saturday, 27th February for commencement of its new season. The Nigeria Women Football League will start on Saturday, 20th February while the Nationwide League will commence on Saturday, 17th March.
Secretary of the NFF Match Commissioners’ Appointment Committee, Danlami Alanana told thenff.com on Tuesday that about one thousand match commissioners are expected to grace the annual event, which has now been segmented into three days.
“The first day is Wednesday, 17th February and this will be attended by match commissioners of the Nigeria Professional Football League. The following day will see match commissioners of the Nigeria National League take their turn, while match commissioners of the Nigeria Women Football League and the Nationwide League One will be in attendance on the final day, which is Friday, 19th February 2016.
“All arrangements have been concluded. The three –day seminar will take place at the Sharon Ultimate Hotel, Area 3, Abuja and we expect close to one thousand match commissioners,” Alanana said.
According to Thenff.com, the former NFF 1st Vice President, and Deputy President of the CAF Appeal Board, Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam, CAF General Coordinator, Etubom Paul Bassey, FIFA security officer Christian Emeruwa and former referee Mohammed Aminu will be resource persons at the three –day seminar.
