Abuja, Nigeria, February 22, 2016 – Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today arrested former Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Abba Moro for the 2014 Immigration recruitment scam.

A source in the EFCC told Premium Times that the former minister and two others were arrested today by the EFCC.
The newspaper said others arrested includes former Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Anastasia Nwaobi and a director who orchestrated the whole arrangement.

The online newspaper reported that they will be arraigned on Tuesday on 12 count charge.
At least 7 applicants were killed and several others injured during a stampede in Abuja, Benin and other areas in the process of writing the aptitude test.

Besides, the ministry officials extorted N1000 from each of the applicants.
