January 10, 2016 – The cold war between the US and North Korea took a new dimension on Sunday when the US flew its B-52 bomber over South Korea few days after North Korean leader Kim Jong-un boasted that North Korea has successfully tested a hydrogen bomb.

Utterance of Jong-un, the biggest threat to South Korea, a very strong ally of the US is seen to have provoked this show of strength.

Kim Jong-un had defended the test, saying it was an act of self-defence to prevent nuclear war with the US.

“The DPRK’s H-bomb is a self-defensive step for reliably defending the peace in the Korean Peninsula and the regional security from the danger of nuclear war caused by the US-led imperialists.

”It is the legitimate right of a sovereign state and a fair action that nobody can criticise,” he told North Korean state media and thereafter embarked on propaganda on the border with South Korea.
