January 14, 2016 – Residents of Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate in Lekki have cried out to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and the state Commissioner of Police over what they called invasion of the estate by men of RRS and Task Force in the state.

The residents said the combined team of security officials laid siege in the estate as early as 4 am today leading to panic among residents. They said no reason was given for the invasion and that there was no initial notice on the operation.

The Spokesman to the Estate, Lekan Balogun disclosed to newsmen that three officials of the estate including Chairman Resident Association, Reverend Akintunde Coker have been whisked away to Task Force office in Alausa.

He however said through investigation they discovered that one Patrick Osewa influenced the Security officials to invade the Estate in order to extort innocent and law abiding residents.
Lekan Balogun also noted that it was through resistance that school children were allowed to leave the estate for school saying they locked the main entrance for several hours.

All attempts to get reactions from the RRS commander, Tunji Disu and Chairman of the Task Force, Olubukola Abe proved abortive as they failed to respond to text messages.
