Deputy Governor elect of Koga State, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke today made good his threat, not to take up his job as Deputy Governor of the State, when he failed to show up for the swearing in ceremony of Kogi State Governor-elect, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

Faleke was late Prince Audi Abubakar’s running mate during the November election, which was declared inconclusive by Independence National Electoral Commission(INEC), when APC was ahead with 247, 752 votes.

APC however picked Bello, who was second in the primaries that produced Abubakar to avoid constitutional crisis that could give its victory to opponent after wide consultation.

The decision infuriated Faleke who is already in court, challenging the decision and asking the court to declare him the governor. He vowed never to work with Bello.

But speaking after he was sworn in, Bello pledged to run an all-inclusive government, calling on all to join hands with him to build Kogi state.

He also thanked the National leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, promising to consult him for advice. He declared that he belongs to nobody but to everybody, which he said will be the mantra of his government.
