November 10, 2015 – A police corporal, Corporal Agi Elias was this morning found dead in Ikeja, Lagos.
The police officer who was attacked to Safer Highway Patrol but on Corporal to Sergeant promotion course was found dead in his Volkswagen Passat with registration number, 489AY parked at the entrance gate of High Barrack, Ikeja, at 07:30 hours in the morning.
He died just a day after he finished his training on Monday, 09 Nov, 2015.
“The NCO CPL AGI ELIAS until his sudden death was attach Safer high way patrol Lagos but on Corporal to Sergeant promotion course in Police Training School (PTS) Ikeja”, Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Jide Offor said in a press statement.
“Preliminary investigations carried out so far revealed that tablets and some poisonous substances littered around his corpse while still inside his car”, he said.
He said his body has been recovered and deposited at Lagos state university teaching hospital mortuary, while the investigation of the case has been taking over by the Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Yaba with a view to ascertaining the cause of death.
