YOUR TRANSFORMATION IS ON THE WAY, AYORINDE ASSURES STAFF OF LTV, RADIO STATIONS
October 28, 2015 – Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde has assured staff of Lagos Television(LTV), Radio Lagos, Eko FM and Traffic FM, all owned by the Lagos Sate Government that the present administration is poised to turn things around to such a level that they will compete with the best stations in the country.
Ayorinde who spoke during a familiarization tour of the stations said the state government would soon upgrade equipment utilized in the stations as part of plans to overhaul their operation.
He noted that the present administration holds the broadcast industry in high esteem, stressing that before the end of the year, the stations would have been transformed with state of the arts equipment.
He promised to do everything possible to ensure that the station attains set goals and objectives. He also told the stations’ management to develop a template that would create a platform for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to have a live media chat as well as give him the opportunity to speak to all Lagosians.
Earlier, the General Manager, Lagos Television Station, Mr. Deji Balogun expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government for uncommon interest in the stations demonstrated in the approval of funds for transformation of the stations.
He gave assurance that the funds which would be expended judiciously would give the station a facelift before the end of the year in order to meet up with the goal of promoting the state’s commerce, culture and tourism.
The Commissioner also paid similar visits to the State Broadcasting Services comprising Eko FM/Radio Lagos and Lagos Traffic Radio with the management team from the ministry, including the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Folarin Adeyemi.
