Medview completes airlift of pilgrims from Saudi Arabia
This year, Medview airline took charge of airlift of pilgrims to and fro Mecca.
The Spokesperson for the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr. Durojaiye Luqmon, who made this known, said a total number of 3,047 pilgrims from the State, with 15 officials, went for this year’s pilgrimage, adding that some had earlier been airlifted back to Nigeria.
Durojaiye noted that in spite of the crane accident at Haram Al Masjid in Mecca and the stampede that occurred at Jamarat in Mina, no single casualty was recorded by the State in the two incidents.
It would be recalled that the State Government commenced the airlifting of the pilgrims for the return trip on Friday, October 2, 2015.
