October, 07, 2015 – Ethics Committee of the Federation of International Football(FIFA) today gave FIFA President, Sepp Blatter a 90-day provisional suspension.
Blatter has been on the hot sit following allegation of corruption leveled against him.
The committee recommended the sanction after the Swiss attorney general opened criminal proceedings against Blatter.
Blatter is accused of signing a contract “unfavourable” to football’s governing body and making a disloyal payment to UEFA president Michel Platini.
Blatter has so far denied any wrong doing.
Final decision on Blatter is expected on Thursday by Head of FIFA Ethics Committee, Hans Joachim Eckhert.
