September 14, 2015 – Wema Bank of Nigeria Plc has emphaissed its readiness to partner with Ekiti State Government to develop agriculture and small and medium scale(SMEs) industries in the state.

Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank Plc, Mr.  Segun Oloketuyi made the revelation during a courtesy call on Governor Ayo Fayose in Ado-Ekiti at the weekend.

He said the bank was interested in discussing areas of collaboration with the state.

“Among the areas we are looking forward to collaborate with your administration are agriculture which is a major sector in the state and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

“Agriculture is important because with the global economic recession, we have to diversify our source of income and agriculture is a key sector. We are also going to help promote small and medium scale enterprises because that would help our industrial growth,” he said.

Oloketuyi noted that the bank would also help the state government to improve its activities which would positively affect the lives of the people.
