September 16, 2015 – There are indications that the rift between the former governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and current Governor of the state, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode will continue for a very long time.
Abimbola Fashola shuns Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials
This is because wife of the former Governor of Lagos State, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola appear to have taken side with her husband who has been at the receiving end of criticism as a result of his policies while in government and seeming refusal by government officials to attend any event associated with the former governor.
Abimbola Fashola was conspicuously absent from the 2015 Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials(COWLSO) held in Lagos on Wednesday.
Abimbola Fashola who is wife of the immediate past governor of the state was was absent at the event without any respresentation.
Present at the event were wife of former governors of Lagos state, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, Abimbola Jakande was represented at the event, Mrs. Mobalaji Johnson and Mrs. Akhigbe were also present at the event.

The event which has the theme, Relevance in economic turbulence had in attendance governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwumni Ambode and that of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Akinwunmi Ambode said the theme will address how women will keep their integrity as teachers of morals, even in the face of ugly economic situations and avert any unforeseen economic hardship.
