August 10, 2015 – Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State chapter has said that it will honour nine of its professionals that were recently elevated to higher positions.
Chairman, NUJ, Lagos, Mr. Deji Elumoye made the revelation during the August edition of the monthly congress of journalists.
According to him, the nine journalists are Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello, General Manager, LTV8, Mr. Deji Balogun and General Manager, Eko FM, Mrs. Funke Moore.
Others are Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos Sate Governor, Mr. Habib Aruna and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Lagos State, Mr. Folarin Adeola and General Manager, Traffic Radio, Mr. Yinka Adagu.
Elumoye said the union plans to celebrate the journalists who have been elevated to new positions. He did not give a clear date when the celebration will take place but said it is going to be a big event and that it will be held at the Lagos Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja on a day that all those involved will make themselves available for the event.
