May 26, 2015 – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed as acting chairman, Board of Trustee (BoT).
PDP Okays Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed as Acting BoT Chair
His appointment is coming following the resignation of Chief Tony Anenih as chairman BoT. Speaking on the appointment, Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus congratulated Mohammed on his emergence as the Acting Chairman of the PDP Board Of Trustees (BoT).
In a statement, National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh said Dr. Haliru Mohammed as former Acting National Chairman and former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP is adequately equipped to serve at this level in steering the ship of the BoT in the overall quest to rebuild and reposition the party at this point in time.
The National Working Committee assured that it would work hand-in-hand with the Board of Trustees and other key stakeholders in stabilizing and reengineering the party to restore its preeminence in the polity.
While soliciting for the support of all members in this direction, the leadership also assured of its determination to instill internal democracy, strict adherence to rules, zero tolerance for indiscipline, while upholding the supremacy of the party and its constitution at all times.
