April 28, 2015 – There was pandemonium early this morning following outbreak of fire at the Otto Awori branch of the bank in Otto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ojo, Lagos.
The cause of the fire is not yet known but activities at the bank has been suspended. Staff of the bank returned to work after close of work on Monday to discover early this morning that the bank is on fire.
Heavy smokes is still seen atop the bank as firemen from the Lagos State Fire Service intensify effort to put off the inferno.
Director of Fire, Lagos State, Mr. Rasaq Fadipe said that his men from the Ojo axis are already on the ground working to ensure that they put off the fire.
He said that the affected bank is inside the premises of Otto-Awori LCDA on the Ojo axis.
