Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs waiting for collection

March 3, 2015 – Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Ogun State, Mr. Timothy Ibitoye has advanced reasons why 555 Permanent Voters Cards (PVC)s will never be collected in Ogun State.

Ibitoye who was speaking in Ogun State said that the rate of collection of PVC has increased to about 53 percent but that 555 PVC will never be collected since they belong to dead persons.

He said the commission uncovered the figures after a thorough investigation. According to him, the dead people cut across the 20 local governments in Ogun State.

This revelation is coming just as deadline for the collection of PVCs draws close even as many Nigerians have continued to complain over their inability to get their PVCs even after several visits to the commission’s offices in the respective states.
