A very versatile journalist with decades of experience in the media, Mr. Anayo Okorie is dead. He died on Sunday on his way to Abuja to attend a conference put together by Shell .
Anayo Okorie, Daily Independent Reporter is Dead
According to sources Anayo was expected to travel by air but chose to travel by road. He is survived by wife and children.
Anayo is an experienced journalist that worked for decades with the Vanguard newspaper as Education correspondent, covering the West African Examination Council(WAEC) and other educational institutions.
He joined Daily Independent a few weeks back and was on the Energy Desk. He died on the road to Abuja. Few years back, Fabian Ozor an Assistant Editor with Daily Independent died on the road while traveling by road to cover an education assignment in Abuja.

He may have been alive today if he had traveled by air.
