February 27, 2015 – Thursday was another bloody day in Nigeria as members of the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram carried out several bombings in the North-east killing at least 23 people.

The first attack was at a bus station in Biu, where 17 people were said to have been killed by military sources. Attempt to detonate a second bomb in the same place was foiled by irate mob who pounced on the bomber leaving him dead.
“A young man came to Tashan Gandu Motor Park and our boys stopped him for search at the check point but he refused to stop and all we heard was a loud sound,” Jaton said of the Biu blast. “The whole spot was scattered within minutes,” Reuters quoted Jaton as saying.
Two roadside bombs also exploded in Jos, Plateau State, killing at least six people.
