Lagos Cancels January 31, 2015 Environmental Sanitation

January 30, 2015 – Lagos State Government in the late hours of today lifted the restriction of human and vehicular activities during the monthly sanitation slated for Saturday, January 31, 2015.

The State Commissioner for Information Mr. Aderemi Ibirogba who disclosed this to Newsmen said it is to allow Lagosians the opportunity to collect their PVC Permanent Voters Cards and participate in the coming elections.

” Lagosians are however enjoined to still clean their environment and ensure environmental sustainability.”

It is however not clear if the state government has made arrangement with Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to distribute the PVCs in Lagos.

According to him, the prevailing situation in the country bothering on non collection of PVC despite the fact that the general elections is around the corner is worrisome.

He urged the residents to utilize the opportunity and collect their PVC.
