Balogun Market on Fire

According to eye witness account, the buildings affected where two 3-storey buildings and two 5-storey structure which were built by the Babatunde Fashola government.

We gathered that the each of the buildings had several shops and that traders were battling to save their wares as at the time of filling this report.

Meanwhile officials of the state fire service have been deployed to the scene and were battling the inferno when the incident occurred.

We gathered that the incident has led to heavy traffic jam while the area has been condoned off by members of the security forces.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
