Nuhu Ribadu, Ifeanyi Okowa Win Primaries, Maku, Wogu Out

December 8, 2014 – Former chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has emerged winner in the primaries held today across the federation to elect candidates that would fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP ).

Ribadu won in Adamawa State, while Ifeanyi Okowa won in Delta State. But in Abia State, it was Okezie Ipeazu that won the primaries. He polled 487 votes to defeat Former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Mr. Emeka Wogo who scored 33 votes.

Former Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku lost in his quest to be the party’s candidate in Nasarawa State.

In Lagos, voting started very late at 7PM, however the only female contender in the primaries has stepped down while the main result is being awaited.
